Person injured after black ice car accident in Clitheroe

Emergency services were called to The Aspinall Arms on Mitton Road at 6:01pm. The man suffered minor cuts, bruising, concussion and whiplash after his car flipped over after after skidding. Posting on Facebook, the man’s girlfriend Molly Hannah said: “Last night, my boyfriend was in a serious car accident due to black ice on the road just near The Aspinall Arms.

“He is lucky to have come out with just minor injuries. “For those who know my boyfriend, he is okay, with only minor cuts and bruising with concussion and whiplash. “I would also like to thank the passing drivers and the lady who allowed my boyfriend to sit in her car and to the lady from The Aspinall Arms for helping him!

“He was going 30mph on a 60mph, this can happen to anyone.”
