Plymouth Argyle vs Crystal Palace Live: Updates from FA Youth Cup tie

Plymouth Argyle’s under-18s’ side are in the spotlight tonight as they take on Crystal Palace at Home Park in the FA Youth Cup third round. Jamie Lowry’s young Greens have a full strength squad for the match, including Freddie Issaka and Caleb Roberts, who have both played for the first team this season. Argyle have entered the prestigious competition at the third round stage along with all Premier League and Championship clubs.

Argyle are a category three academy club while Palace are a category one so the FA Youth Cup is a good opportunity for Lowry’s players to test themselves against opposition from that level.

The fourth round draw took place earlier today and the winners out of Argyle and Palace – there will be extra-time and penalties if necessary – will be away to AFC Fylde or Hull City.
