Police close Wyton Road in Preston due to ‘ongoing incident’

Police have closed stretches of two busy roads in Preston village, due to an ongoing incident. Wyton Road and Lelley Road have been closed, officers said. The junction of the two roads is located just to the north of the village.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area. Wyton Road is a busy north-south route between Bilton and the A1033. In a statement at 7.25am on Friday, Humberside Police said: “Please be aware that Wyton Road and Welly Road are closed whilst police deal with an ongoing incident.

Please avoid the area where possible.”
