Police cordon in place as emergency services deal with incident in residential area
Emergency services on the scene in Shiney Row this evening (Image: Kayleigh Fraser) A police cordon is in place and emergency are currently dealing with an incident in Shiney Row. Police and ambulance are on the scene and three fire engines have just been spotted leaving the Hunter Street area.
Reporter Kayleigh Fraser said: “A cordon has just gone up between two properties. “Nothing is visible at the moment as the police remain at the scene. “There are a lot of people out in the street wondering what is going on.

“The police are gathered around one address in particular.”
An incident support unit from North East Ambulance Service is on the scene with several police cars.
NEAS, Northumbria Police and Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for further information.
