Police helicopter searches Devon river

Police officers and the coastguard were called to Brixton on Thursday evening. Emergency services were called to the River Yealm near Noss Mayo following reports a missing man had been found. Devon and Cornwall Police[1] and coastguard teams attended and the man was brought to safety just after 8pm, a police spokesperson said.

Witnesses told PlymouthLive a number of coastguard vehicles and a helicopter are seen at the coast[2] yesterday evening (December 28). One witness said: "A chopper is up near me and apparently coastguard vehicles have been seen in Brixton area." A spokesperson for the force said: "Emergency services attended the River Yealm near Noss Mayo last night after a man who was reported missing had been located.
