Police investigate hit-skip crashes and cigarette burn on woman’s leg: Chagrin Falls police blotter
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio —
Hit skip crash, Elm Street: A driver quickly left the scene of a crash without stopping to provide information the morning of Nov.
25. The subject had driven off the road and struck an unoccupied vehicle parked in the driveway. A witness saw the crash and provided the license plate number to police.
Officers tracked down the subject and cited a Garfield Heights woman, 42 for driving on sidewalks, lawns or curbs and failure to stop after a crash.
Crash, South Main Street: The driver of a Semi-truck struck a light signal pole 8 p.m. Nov.
21 as he attempted to make a right hand turn onto East Washington Street. The driver then backed up the rig and continued on without stopping to report it.
Police are investigating the incident.
Assault, Cleveland Street: Police are investigating a reported assault 3:13 p.m. Nov.
26 involving a male nursing home patient, 36, who extinguished a cigarette on a female employee’s leg. The action damaged the woman’s pants and left a blister on her leg.
Shots fired, Nob Hill: Police responded to the area near Solon Road 2:58 a.m.
Nov.
26 for a report of gunshots being fired. The matter is under investigation.
Crash, East Washington Street: A driver crashed into on-coming westbound traffic 2:35 p.m. Nov.
25 while making a turn onto North Main Street. The driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Further details were not available in the initial report.
