Police keep open mind on links between quad bike business raiders Police say they are keeping an open mind about whether a series of crimes in which raiders on quad bikes have targeted businesses are linked. The latest incident saw police called to a report of a ram raid on Nunthorpe High Street just before 2.40am on Sunday.

It was reported a vehicle had driven into shutters at Godleys Cycles’ before becoming wedged. At least four people are then believed to have left the scene on two quadbikes. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects.

Cleveland Police said the incident follows a series of similar reports which officers are investigating. All involved commercial premises in the Redcar and Cleveland area being targeted by suspects on quad bikes. On October 29 and December 12 KFC on Roseberry Road in Redcar was targeted.

On October 29 In The Dog House in Marske was targeted, and on Saturday, December 16, an Army surplus store on Skippers Lane was also affected. A police spokesperson said: “Officers are keeping an open mind as to any potential link between all the incidents. “We would appeal for anyone with information, doorbell, dashcam or private CCTV of any of these incidents to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number.
