Police on scene at light plane crash at Lilydale, north of Grafton

Police say two people are believed to have died in a plane crash north-west of Grafton in northern New South Wales.

Emergency services were called to a property at Lilydale about 9am today after reports a light plane crashed into powerlines.

Personnel from NSW Police, Fire and Rescue, NSW Ambulance and NSW SES are at the scene.

Officers with the Coffs-Clarence Police are working to identify those onboard the aircraft and investigations are ongoing.

A coordinated emergency response is underway.(ABC News)
