Police reopen Leek Road after two-car crash causes lime kiln lights chaos

Police have reopened one of Stoke-on-Trent’s busiest roads after a ‘serious collision’. Staffordshire Police[1] shut a section of Leek Road, in Hanley[2], following this morning’s two-car crash. It happened near the junction of Ivy House Road. Police also closed part of lime kiln traffic lights sparking traffic queues back onto Werrington Road and Dividy Road.

Staffordshire Police are still to disclose whether anyone was injured in this morning’s crash. StokeonTrentLive has also contacted West Midlands Ambulance Service[3] for a statement following the collision. Any witnesses should call the police on 101.
