Police to increase patrols after fly-tipped rubbish set on fire near fields

The scene of the incident in Winsford (Image: Cheshire Police) A GREATER police presence is to patrol an area of Winsford to combat anti-social behaviour. It comes following an incident near to the field to the rear of Finsbury Walk.

A large amount of fly-tipped rubbish that had been set alight was found by patrolling Cheshire Police officers. More officers are to patrol the area going forward to clamp down on anti-social behaviour. The force’s Winsford Police team said: “Winsford PCSOs are on foot patrol at Finsbury Walk.

“On our patrol, we have discovered a large amount of waste dumped at the back of the field, allowing anti-social behaviour and fires to continue. “The waste has been reported to the relevant agencies. “This area will be monitored frequently with a regular police presence to deter anti-social behaviour.

“If you see anything suspicious, please call 101, or 999 if it is an emergency.”
