Police update on Ryde road closure

Argyll Street closed. (Image: Google Maps) There are delays in Ryde this evening (Tuesday) after police closed part of main road. Argyll Street, at its junction with West Street, has been shut by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.

Officers said they were called at 3.11pm. They received reports of a ‘minor injury collision’, involving a male pedestrian. It is said to have happened near West Street.

Part of the road is closed while the ambulance service tend to the patient.

The closure is leading to disruption along Argyll Street, West Street and Green Street.
