Police warn Cumbrian residents to stay safe on nights out

As nights out become more popular and common at this time of year officers are warning people to stay safe. A spokesperson said: “We want everyone to enjoy the festive period and remain safe. If you are going on a night out then have fun and enjoy yourself, but know your limits with alcohol, avoid confrontation this Christmas, and just walk away.

“Officers will be out and about all weekend ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable time, stop us for a chat if you see us.”
