Ponies visit Plymouth hospital patients for festive treat

Patients and staff at a Devon hospital have been treated to a visit from some miniature Shetland ponies spreading festive cheer.

Peanut and Wizzle visited the Intensive Care Unit’s (ICU) Secret Garden at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Staff said having the therapy ponies visit gives families a “little bit of joy” at this time of year.

The Secret Garden is one of the only places in the UK where ICU patients can receive treatment while spending time outdoors.
