PSNI catch driver ‘three times over legal limit’ after vehicle spotted being ‘driven dangerously’
A driver has been caught allegedly 'three times over the legal limit' after police spotted a vehicle 'driving dangerously'. Officers in Lurgan[1] were alerted to the driver after seeing the vehicle being driven "dangerously" and said the motorist "made off" but crews "managed to bring the vehicle to a stop". When tested, officers said the driver provided a reading of 113 which is over three times the legal limit.
The vehicle was also suspected to be driven in a dangerous condition and was seized for examination. In a post on the Police Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Facebook page[3] in the early hours of Saturday, an officer said: "Whilst on mobile patrol officers from Lurgan sighted the following vehicle driving dangerously. It made off from police but was later sighted a short time later.
"Crews managed to bring the vehicle to a stop. The driver provided a reading of 113 which is over 3 times the legal limit!! The vehicle was also suspected to be driven in a dangerous condition and was seized for examination.
"Our crews will be conducting regular checks throughout the weekend.
The message is simple...Never Ever Drink and Drive!!"
