Road closed as Uber and Audi crash causes ‘scattered debris’

Police closed a main road in Liverpool after a crash involving an Uber and an Audi. Officers were called to Walton[1] Hall Avenue just before midnight on Tuesday, December 19. At the scene they found a Nissan Qashqai operating as an Uber and a blue Audi A4 had crashed, near to the junction of Stanley Park, Walton[2].

Merseyside police[3] said that no-one was injured during the incident. The road was closed while both cars were recovered from the area. A driver who witnessed the aftermath of the crash told the ECHO[4] it must have been a “huge impact” due to the amount of “debris scattered” across the road.

They said: “The Uber taxi had come to rest into what was left of a lamp post, a couple of months ago there was another vehicle collision that hit it.” A spokesperson for Merseyside police[7] said: “Just before midnight (Tuesday 19 December) we received a report of a collision on Walton Hall Avenue in Liverpool involving a black Nissan Qashqai and a blue Audi A4. “No one was injured during the incident.

Both cars were removed from the road.” For the latest news and breaking news visit liverpoolecho.co.uk/news[8] Get all the big headlines, pictures, analysis, opinion and video on the stories that matter to you by signing up to our daily and breaking newsletter[9].
