Seaford crash claims life of one, injures others

1 hour ago SEAFORD, Del. - A Seaford woman was killed and several others were injured in a crash Sunday afternoon.

At around 4:20 p.m., police say a 2018 Nissan Versa was traveling northbound in the right lane of Sussex Highway, approaching the intersection with Middleford Road. The Versa reportedly failed to stop at the red light and crossed through the intersection, into the path of a 2014 Honda Odyssey, causing a collision. The driver of the Versa, a 74-year-old Seaford woman, was taken to an area hospital by ambulance where she was later pronounced dead.

Her name is being withheld pending notification of family and friends.

The driver of the Odyssey, a 47-year-old Seaford woman, and passengers were taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
