Series crash causes injuries, closes roadway for hours in Kent County

LOWELL, MI -- Multiple people were hurt and a roadway closed for hours Wednesday, Dec.

6, following a serious crash in Lowell Township.

First responders were dispatched around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries in the area of Alden Nash Avenue and Emery Drive.

Soon after arriving, police closed all lanes of traffic in the area.

Police weren't able to provide any updates on the conditions of the individuals involved as of 8 p.m. Wednesday.

First responders remained on scene with the roadway blocked off more than three hours after the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Kent County Sheriff's Office.
