‘Serious collision’ in Telford leaves road closed for several hours

Police said at 10.42am they’re dealing with a “serious collision” on the A4169 in Lightmoor. The road was closed at Ironbridge park and ride roundabout and Castlefields roundabout. Officers said it was expected to be closed for several hours while the collision investigation team carried out their enquiries.

West Mercia Police said at 2.15pm: “The collision investigation team have finished their enquiries, recovery arranged for the vehicle involved.

“We anticipate the road being re-opened in the next hour.
