Southwark: Police and protestors clash in south London

Police have clashed with protestors in south London. A dispersal order has been introduced in the area of Camberwell Road in Southwark, the Metropolitan Police confirmed. That power – which allows officers to exclude a person from the area – will remain in place until 7am on New Year’s Eve.

Police say approximately 50 people have gathered for a protest outside a private venue.

Footage from the area show several police vehicles have been deployed.
