Stalker bombarded victim with messages and threatened to ‘stick a knife in them’

A stalker who threatened to “stick a knife” in his victim, a thief who stole cleaning products from B&M and an array of offenders not complying with court orders – these are just a few people who appeared at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court[1] last week. While some cases were adjourned to be tried at a later date and some dismissed altogether, magistrates in Grimsby[2] still handed out orders, fines and even prison sentences. Here are eight offenders from across northern Lincolnshire to appear at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court in recent days.

Ashley Rice of Wroxham Avenue, Grimsby was handed a Stalking Protection Order on the basis that he carried out acts associated with stalking over a two-month period, by constantly sending messages and making telephone calls where he made threats that he would attend the address of the victim and “stick a knife” in them. He was prohibited from contacting, physically approaching or engaging in any form of surveillance against the victim for two years. Eloise Stokes, 37, of no fixed abode had her community order revoked after she was found guilty of failing to attend planned office appointments.

She was originally handed the community order for two counts of theft in which she stole cleaning products from B&M worth more than GBP85.
