State sees a rise in hate crimes; law enforcement collaborating statewide
Local, state and federal law enforcement have a message for the residents and visitors of New Hampshire: hate, discrimination and bigotry will be prosecuted to the highest extent of the law.
Over the last year and a half, and more so in recent months with the rising conflict in the Middle East, the FBI, the Attorney General's Office, the Department of Safety and local police departments like Manchester have seen an uptick in fear-based threats and intimidation toward historically marginalized communities, not just those affiliated with Muslim, Islamic or Jewish faiths, said Attorney General John Formella.
