Stoneferry Bridge in Hull closed after road traffic collision

Stoneferry Bridge and a part of Stoneferry Road, east Hull, have been closed following a road traffic collision. Details of the accident are still emerging but one witness said he believed a lorry was involved. Traffic in the area is said to be gridlocked.

One witness told Hull Live: “Stoneferry Roundabout has been closed, there’s been a crash and traffic is manic.” Humberside Police said: “Officers are currently in attendance on Stoneferry Bridge in Hull following a road traffic collision. The road is currently closed from Chamberlain Road to Garden Village with diversions also in place from Mount Pleasant.

Members of the public are asked to avoid the area at this time.” Traffic service Inrix said: “A1033 Stoneferry Road in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident from B1237 Leads Road to Chamberlain Road. Congestion to west car lane for south bound traffic and to the a1165 for northbound traffic.”
