A spokesman for Suffolk police confirmed no formal complaint had been received. “Suffolk police are aware of an incident whereby a beer can was thrown onto the bonnet of a car in Constantine Road,” a statement said. “There was no injury or damage caused and no formal complaint has been received.”

Ms Smith, 82, remains Norwich City’s joint majority shareholder, alongside her husband Michael Wynn Jones.

The former TV cook took over the majority of the club’s shares back in 1996.

Suffolk police has confirmed two arrests were made on Saturday in connection with the fixture[1], but they were unrelated to the incident involving Ms Smith’s car.
