A 74-year-old woman from Seaford was killed and multiple others were injured in a crash in Seaford on Sunday afternoon, according to Delaware State Police. The name of the woman who died has not yet been released. Police said the 74-year-old was driving north in the right lane of Sussex Highway in a 2018 Nissan Versa at 4:18 p.m.

The woman failed to stop at a red light at the intersection with Middleford Road, according to police, and drove directly into the path of a 2014 Honda Odyssey heading west. The front of the Versa hit the front left side of the Odyssey, police said. The driver of the Versa was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

The driver of the Odyssey, a 47-year-old woman from Seaford, and passengers in the car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are still investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Senior Corporal R.
