Hereford City Link Road's tricky pedestrian crossings, sited opposite the rail station is 30mph, but drivers race the lights, loud exhausts too. What are your thoughts? You can send a letter to the editor to have your say by clicking here[1].
Letters should not exceed 250 words and local issues take precedence. Jeffrey J Hancorn (Letters, December 14[2]) despairs at engines left running. If stationary for longer than ten seconds then switch off, save fuel and the starter will not break as per the myth.
Please bus operators, make Broad Street a place to linger with a policy to turn off the constant rattle and pollution. Stop speedsters in Broad Street too. It's 20mph in Newmarket Street in Hereford, mostly ignored.
Hereford's only got one static speed camera. Full Zipper buses could run from the outer suburbs, with drivers onboard willing to pay fares. A Paris city mayor seeks a referendum very soon to vote if the worse polluters should pay.
