Swindon Advertiser: A spokesperson said: “We believe these two men could help us with our enquiries. “If this is you, or you recognise the men, please contact us on 101 quoting reference number 54230103873.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.” Earlier this month, officers arrested a suspected drug driver at a different car meet held in Swindon on the night of December 16. Half a dozen vehicle examinations were also carried out with the DVSA.

One of these vehicles was prohibited for being unsafe, another was seized for having false plates, and one person was reported for having no insurance.

The proactive crackdown was part of Operation Staysail and saw officers from multiple units and evidence-gathering vehicles attend the meet to “provide public reassurance and ensure the safety of the public”.
