Teenager appears in court in connection with Hilden Island crash

Just after 8.45am on November 17, officers were called to Hilden Island in Padgate following reports of a crash. A caller reported that a white Audi had collided with the roundabout and that the driver had fled the scene. A police helicopter was dispatched to search the area for the driver and a 19-year-old was later located and arrested on Mawgan Court.

Oliver Foster has since appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court last week in connection with the incident.

Foster, of Dorset Way, Woolston, has been charged with using a motor vehicle on a road without third-party insurance, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, being the driver of a vehicle involved in a road accident who failed to report the accident, and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

He will next appear before the court next month.
