The faces of the people most wanted by police in Wales right now
Police in Wales are looking for a number of people who are wanted in relation to a series of alleged crimes. Officers are asking for members of the public to come forward if they have any information about the whereabouts of the people listed below. This is not a comprehensive list of every wanted person in Wales.
South Wales Police shares its active appeals on its force Facebook page but not all are featured as officers make every effort to trace suspects prior to them being published as wanted. North Wales Police does not remove all its appeals once they are no longer active meaning some older ones still appear online and the force was not able to confirm whether these were still active and the people were still wanted. To maintain the greatest degree of accuracy we have chosen to only include appeals shared since November 19, 2023, for both forces.
We have asked both forces to provide us with full lists but they have declined to do so. Gwent Police and Dyfed-Powys Police appeals featured here are up to date. Below are the people wanted by police in Wales at the time of writing (December 15, 2023).
If you have seen any of the following people, or know of their whereabouts, you are asked to call police on 101 and quote the relevant reference number beneath the picture. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. In some instances you may be eligible to claim a reward.

South Wales Police have renewed their appeal to find Neil McFadden. The appeal was first issued in November.
The 36-year-old from Neath is wanted for alleged assault. Reference: 2300349493
Richard Calvert (Pepe)

Richard Calvert, known locally in the north Flintshire area as Pepe, is wanted on warrant by North Wales Police No reference was given.
Robert Hughes and Nathan Hughes

Robert Hughes and Nathan Hughes are both wanted on recall to prison.
Robert, 35 (left) has links to the Corwen, Denbigh and Wrexham areas. Nathan, 33 (right) is believed to be in the Denbigh area. No reference was provided.
Shane Carter

Shane Carter, 50, is reported to have breached his licence conditions following his release from prison on January 27, 2022 and has been recalled to prison.
He received a sentence of five years and three months in prison for possession of drugs with intent to supply at Cardiff Crown Court on August 16, 2019. Reference: 2300408988
Bradley Hemmings

Gwent Police are appealing for information to find Bradley Hemmings from Cwmbran, is reported to have breached his licence conditions following his release from prison on August 4, 2023. Hemmings, 22, received a 12-month sentence for common assault and battery after being sentenced at Newport Magistrates court on February 4, 2023.
He has now been recalled to prison. Reference: 2300391209
James/Jamie Edwards

Gwent Police are appealing for information to find 25-year-old James/Jamie Edwards from the Newport area in connection with an ongoing investigation into drugs and modern day slavery offences. Reference: 2300346411
Yassar Hussain

Gwent Police are appealing for information to find 29-year-old Yassar Hussain from Newport.
He is reported to have breached his licence conditions following his release from prison on May 19 and is now recalled to prison. He received a sentence of five years and seven months in prison for possession with intent to supply a class A drug at Cardiff Crown Court on August 3, 2020. Hussain has known links to the Newport, Cardiff and Bristol areas.

Valter Hoxha

Gwent Police are appealing for information to find Valter Hoxha from Newport. Hoxha, 40, is reported to have breached his licence conditions following his release from prison on Tuesday, April 18 and is now recalled to prison. He was sentenced to 13 months in prison after he was found guilty of being concerned in the production of cannabis and possession of criminal property on November 11.

Gwent Police are appealing for information to find 44-year-old David Miller from the Newport area. Officers want to speak to him in connection with several alleged theft-related offences. Reference: 2300318134
Stephen Phillips

Gwent Police are appealing for information to find 30-year-old Stephen Phillips from the Newport area.
Officers want to speak to him in connection with an investigation into driving offences. Reference: 2300353179

Nico Cook

A warrant has been issued by Gwent Police after Nico Cook, 30, from Newport, failed to appear at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 29. He had been charged on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drink and drugs and driving with no insurance. He is described as 5ft 8in, of slim build, and with dark brown hair.
He also has two tattoos – one of a cross with the words ‘RIP GRANDAD’ on his left arm and a tattoo of the name ‘Nico’ with stars on his right arm. Reference: 2200296480
Leon Wells

Leon Wells, 40, from Abertysswg, is wanted for allegedly breaching his licence conditions. Reference: 2200219968
Paul Harris

Paul Harris, also known as Paul Bohm, 25, from Cinderford, is wanted by Gwent Police in connection with an investigation into alleged drug-trafficking offences.
He has links to the Chepstow and Magor areas and also Gloucester. Reference: 2200245204

Altaib Ahmad Altagani, 32, from Newport, has been recalled to prison. Reference: 2000336917
Sharany Abbas

Officers from Gwent Police want to speak to Sharany Abbas, also known as Rasta, from Newport, in connection with an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs.
It is believed that the 39-year-old has links to Merthyr Tydfil and Cardiff.
