The worst Birmingham criminals of 2023

Dozens of criminals from our region have been handed life sentences in 2023. They are effectively the worst of the worst of society. It is the mandatory punishment for murder but can also be imposed for other serious offences such as rape.

But life does not ‘mean life’ in the sense many people think it perhaps should do. Convicts have the prospect of release after serving a minimum term set by a judge. They will then be on licence for the rest of their lives.

POLL:Is the BBC licence fee good value for money?[2] Below we have listed the criminals from Birmingham, the Black Country and the surrounding cities and towns who were handed life sentences in 2023.

Around 10 minutes later he fatally stabbed 35-year-old father Krystian Debski and within 30 seconds he slashed another man with a knife. Speaking online afterwards he warned ‘I will kill anyone who comes across me’. Tibere suffered a psychotic episode after binging on vodka and cocaine for 48-hours.
