Three in hospital with injuries after two-car crash on A595

Cumbria police officers were called today (December 1) at around 10.55am to the report. The road – the A595/B5305 junction – was closed in both directions. Update

3.28pm: A spokesperson from the police said the road was reopened at 2.38pm. They were in attendance with Northwest Ambulance Service (NWAS), who took three people to hospital. The two vehicles involved were a Citroen C1 and Peugeot 106.

The driver of the Citroen, a man in his 70s, was taken to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle[1] with injuries described as ‘not life threatening’.

The driver and the passenger of the Peugeot, both in their 60s, were also taken to hospital with ‘minor injuries’.
