Three injured after crash involving police car in Northfield

Three people were taken to hospital following a collision involving a police car in Northfield[1]. The vehicles crashed on Woodland Road and Spinney Close, just before 8.10am on Friday, sparking a large emergency response. Paramedics assessed three people- two men and a woman - for injuries before they were taken to Good Hope Hospital.

Fortunately they were not said to be seriously injured. It is unclear if the marked police car was responding to a 999 call at the time of the incident. West Midlands Police[2] has been contacted for a statement.

A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service[4] said: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC near to the junction of Woodland Road and Spinney Close at 8.09am, three ambulances attended the scene.

On arrival we discovered three patients, two men and a woman.

"All three were treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Good Hope Hospital."
