Three people injured in serious two-car crash on main Island road (Image: Google Maps/IWCP) Three people were injured in a serious crash on a main Isle of Wight road this afternoon (Sunday, December 3). Police were called at 3.01pm to reports of a collision involving two vehicles on the main Yarmouth to Newport route, Yarmouth Road/A3054.
The collision involved a Fiat Punto and Toyota Yaris, with both cars suffering serious front-end damage and the Fiat rolling onto its side near the former home of the Rhythmtree Festival. Yarmouth Road was closed at Vittlefields Cross while emergency teams cleared the road, and the road reopened at around 4.50pm. A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed three people reported minor injuries.
