LILLEY: Ford to announce major changes to booze sales on Thursday[4]

Prior to Premier Doug Ford’s announcement confirming the government’s plan[5] to expand sales of beer, wine, ciders, coolers, and other ready-to-drink beverages in grocery stores, convenience stores and big box stories across the province by 2026 was the report that he was set to reveal the major changes on how Ontarians would be able to get their booze. While not every aspect of the plan has been nailed down, Brian Lilley reported, the changes don’t come into effect until Jan.

The issue of alcohol in corner stores has been kicked around for decades in Ontario politics, from the Peterson Liberals in the mid-1980s to the Harris Conservatives a decade later. However, Ford made it part of his 2018 campaign, and again in 2022. But hey, better late than never.

It’s the latest in a series of climate change announcements made by Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault at the global climate conference in Dubai and just like the others, it will cost Canadians, Lilley reported. Nutshell? Those who are struggling to afford beef right now will find it even less affordable in the future.

Woman arrested for using vibrator on beach dead from suicide or murder?[7]

In 2021, Georgia woman Christina Revels-Glick was caught pleasuring herself with a vibrator at the beach and was arrested.

Father of boys found dead after mom fell from Scarborough balcony had recently died[8]

Two young brothers – ages four and five – who were found unresponsive in a Scarborough apartment after their mother plummeted from their balcony had recently lost their father to cancer, according to neighbours. The boys’ deaths are being treated as “suspicious,” though Toronto Police noted there were “no signs of trauma,” according to Jane Stevenson and Jack Boland, who was on the scene.

A GoFundMe campaign launched for the boys earlier this month noted their father died on Dec.

1 “after a short stay in hospital battling an extremely aggressive form of leukemia and a sepsis infection.” The message continued: “Costa leaves behind his family including his loving wife (Vanessa) and 2 young boys who are only 5/4 (Yiannis/Mimi). In the face of this unimaginable loss we’re coming together to ensure that the boys’ future is filled with love, support and opportunities.”

The fundraiser concluded with “Thank you for being a part of our family’s journey to healing.”
