Tractor trailer flattened car, killed motorist on Route 15 in Adams County

A tractor trailer collided with a car on Route 15 in Adams County Friday afternoon, flattening the vehicle and killing its driver[1].

The crash occurred at the intersection[2] of Route 15 and Bonner’s Hill Road in York Springs shortly before 4 p.m.

It is unclear what direction the truck was traveling prior to the collision, but it ended up in the median facing south.

The crash was reported in the northbound lane, where the demolished car landed in the front of a roadside fruit stand.

Crews removed one body from the car at around 6:30 p.m.

At 7 p.m. the northbound lanes of the highway remained closed north of Route 94, also known as Route 94 and north to Latimore Valley Road.

One southbound land was open.

The crash occurred between those exits, according to PA511, the state’s online traffic monitoring system.[3]
