Traffic delays after reports of crash on main Newport road

The County Press understands at least two vehicles have been involved in a collision on Long Lane between Staplers and Downend. The collision is said to have happened near the Fair Isle Holiday Cottages, where two vehicles are pulled over to the side of the main road. No emergency teams are currently at the scene.

Long Lane traffic map (Image: Google Maps) With congestion building, rush hour motorists are advised to avoid the area if they can. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has been contacted for a statement.
