Traffic held after M6 crash in Stafford area

Live Traffic -M6 tweeted at lunchtime that the carriageway was closed and they had no estimated time of it re-opening. A young woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the ‘multi-vehicle’ crash at around 10.45am which led to traffic being held.

Queues were reported as seven miles long at midday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene.

A spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of a multi-vehicle RTC on the southbound M6, between junctions 14 and 13 at 10.44am, one ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

On arrival we discovered one patient, a teenage female, who was treated for serious injuries before being taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital.”
