Tragedy as man dies after crash on Welsh road

A man has died following a crash on a Welsh road. The 35-year-old sustained serious injuries, following a three-vehicle collision in Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales, at the weekend. South Wales Police has confirmed Matthew Theophilus, from Caerphilly, died in hospital following injuries he sustained in the crash, reports WalesOnline.[1]

The force is investigating the collision between a white BMW, a blue Vauxhall Zafira and a white Hyundai, which happened at around 10pm on the A4058 at Trehafod on Sunday, December 3. In a statement police appealed for help with its investigation.

A spokesman said: “Mr Theophilus’ family wish to be left alone to enable them to come to terms with their tragic loss.

We wish to thank those members of the public who assisted at the scene. “We want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any dash-cam or CCTV footage of the incident or manner of driving prior to the collision. Please contact us and quote ref 2300411311.”
