Tragedy as man dies in A15 crash
A man has sadly died following a collision on the A15[1]. Shortly after 9am on Tuesday morning, emergency services[2] were called to the road close to Barnetby Top, where it was reported that a heavy goods vehicle had collided with a car before it overturned. Sadly, one man died a short time later.
Three women suffered what are thought to be minor injuries. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area as the road remains closed to allow for the recovery of the vehicles. A spokesperson for Humberside Police[3] said: “One man has died following a collision on the A15 near to Barnetby Top this morning, Tuesday 5 December.
“The collision occurred at around 9.10am when a heavy goods vehicle reportedly collided with a car before overturning. Emergency services attended, however one man sadly died a short time later. “Three women suffered what are thought to be minor injuries in the incident.
The road remains fully closed in both directions whilst recovery of the vehicles takes place and motorists are asked to avoid the area.”
