A father of three who died after a car crash in Lincolnshire has been described as a “kind and caring” man who “loved to be outdoors”. Sean Burlton’s vehicle was involved in a crash with two other cars when it overturned in a ditch full of water in Tongue End last month. His family said the 28-year-old loved fishing and was well known locally by many anglers.

Six men arrested in connection with the crash are on bail, police said. In a statement, his family said Sean had a brother and three sisters, including a twin, and that they would “never forget him”. “He will be remembered as a family man who could be really funny, he was a free spirit and someone who loved to be outdoors.

“He was kind and caring and will be missed by everybody. He lived on a boat some of the time and loved to be around nature, he was his happiest when he was outdoors.” They said Sean grew up in Pointon and in “his younger days he loved banger racing and travelled to take part in competitions and events”.

The statement added: “We are very grateful for the support we have had at this difficult and painful time and would like to say thank you for Sean’s friends for that support.” Lincolnshire Police said the arrested men, aged 20, 24, 27, 31 and two aged 33, had been arrested on suspicion of driving offences. The force said they had been released on bail while investigations continued.
