Truck stolen in Springfield

A company-owned truck and its contents were stolen from a grass-harvesting field on Springfield Road in Springfield. The stolen truck is a 2013 white Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The truck contained a service bed that held miscellaneous tools, harvesting parts, a 150-gallon fuel tank, a set of torches, a welding machine and a Napa air compressor.

The value of the stolen truck and its contents is £55,000.

Tools stolen from jobsite near Orangeburg

The theft was reported Monday. In an unrelated report, a driver claims a 2010 blue Kia Forte was stolen when he went inside his Cordova home to get his cellphone charger.

He sent a text message to his passenger, asking him why he took the car. He claims the passenger told him that he took the car to get fuel but ended up being stopped by law enforcement. The driver hasn’t been able to reach the passenger since.

The value of the Kia is £4,000.
