Two lanes closed and traffic building on M6 after crash

Traffic is building and two lanes are closed from junction 31 of the A59, Preston New Road, to junction 30 of the M61. According to AA Traffic and Travel, there are severe delays of 24 minutes and the average speed on the section of road is 10mph. Police has been approached for more information.

A spokesperson for AA Traffic and Travel said: “Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to crash on M6 Southbound, from junction 31 A59 Preston New Road (Samlesbury) to junction 30, M61.

“Severe delays of 24 minutes and delays increasing on M6 Southbound between junction 32 of the M55 (Broughton Interchange) and junction 30 of the M61.

Average speed 10mph.”
