Two people rescued in two-car crash at Eccleshill roundabout
TWO people were taken to hospital following a two-car crash at a Bradford roundabout. Emergency services were scrambled to the scene of the crash at the Eccleshill roundabout, near the junctions of Harrogate Road and Pullan Avenue just after midnight. Fire crews had to rescue two people trapped in a vehicle.
A large police cordon was in place, blocking the roundabout off. A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire[1] Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 12.24am this morning to Pullan Avenue in Bradford to reports of a road traffic collision. “We sent two crews from Bradford[2] who discovered two people trapped in one vehicle.
“We extricated them and handed them over to waiting paramedics.” A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12.21am on Tuesday to report of a two-vehicle collision on Harrogate Road in Eccleshill. “A number of resources were dispatched to the scene, including two ambulances and the Hazardous Area Response Team.
Two patients were conveyed to hospital.”
West Yorkshire Police has been contacted for a comment.
