UPDATE: Two people taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash closes A9 near Blair Atholl

An 85-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man have been taken to hospital in Dundee after a crash on the A9[2] near Blair Atholl this morning. Part of road is still closed in both directions. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 11.05am on Sunday, December 31, we received a report of a three-vehicle road crash on the A9 near to Blair Atholl.

Emergency services attended and a 40-year-old man and a 85-year-old woman were taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. “The road remains closed in both directions while emergency services are in attendance. “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”

Traffic Scotland is advising motorists to use an alternative route.
