USPS carrier killed in hit-and-run crash in Tampa
The Tampa Police Department said a U.S. postal carrier was struck and killed in a hit-and-rush crash on Monday afternoon. According to Tampa Police, the crash happened near the intersection of East River Cove Street and North Mulberry Street around 3:00 p.m. Investigators said a driver in a dark-colored Mercedes sedan hit the postal truck.
The postal carrier died at the scene. The Mercedes was found approximately a mile away on North 16th Street. Officers said the vehicle had damage consistent with the crash.
Officers are working to identify and locate the driver involved in the crash.
