Water Rescue and police arrive in Derby city centre
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue’s Water Rescue Unit and police officers[1] attended Derby city centre this evening (Thursday, December 14). Emergency vehicles were seen parked close to the Holiday Inn and the city council house[2] from around 7pm. It is not yet known why the emergency services had been in attendance but it was confirmed by the fire service that units had left the area before 8pm. Derbyshire Fire and Rescue[3] told DerbyshireLive tonight that they were unable to confirm why the vehicles had been present.
The River Gardens is located by the River Derwent at the back of Derby City Council house.
Derbyshire Live will approach the fire service for more information on the incident tomorrow morning.
