Watford Junction crash victim in hospital as helicopter attends scene

Herts Police have confirmed they were called to Station Road, outside Watford Junction, at 3.17pm with reports that a black Honda motorcycle (described as a moped by the ambulance service) had crashed into a fence. Station Road is currently closed, and the force advised motorists to find alternative routes. Herts Fire and Rescue and the East of England Ambulance Service were also called to the station and a helicopter from Essex and Herts Air Ambulance landed outside at 3.37pm.

The man, from London, was then taken to hospital for further assessment and care, the East of England Ambulance service confirmed. (Image: Contribution) Herts Police added that fans travelling for the football match this evening, are advised to leave with plenty of time to spare to avoid delays.

Watford FC are playing Stoke City at Vicarage Road, with kick-off set for 7.45pm today (December 29).
