Watford traffic chaos amid Langley Road and The Dome ‘crashes’

Langley Road has been closed near the junction with Hempstead Road after police were called to the scene with reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a Nissan Juke. The Nissan driver remained at the scene. The road was closed while emergency services worked and the East of England Ambulance Service has now confirmed that a boy was taken to Watford General Hospital.

Just two minutes earlier, Herts Police had been called to The Dome roundabout (at 4.20pm).

Two cars were reportedly stuck in a live lane due to a crash and have blocked the road. Part of the road is closed while recovery takes place. INCIDENT: #WATFORD St Albans Road junction with The Dome Roundabout.

No injuries were reported after the “damage only” collision. Hertfordshire Highways has separately warned motorists to avoid both areas after the crashes were reported as there are long delays in the surrounding roads.

The two crash locations are just a five-to-10-minute drive from each other in normal traffic conditions.
