Westlake police: Driver arrested for OVI after crash into fence, ditch

WESTLAKE, Ohio (WOIO) - Westlake police say officers arrested a 64-year-old woman for impaired driving Tuesday after she crashed a car through a fence and into a ditch.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. on Center Ridge Road.

The driver told police she got turned around in a parking lot, but officers said they noticed signs she was impaired.

That's when they conducted field sobriety testing and arrested her for OVI, according to police.

At the Westlake Jail, officer said, the woman refused to cooperate for chemical testing.

Police said the woman was released and will soon be due to Rocky River court.
