Woman, 24, killed in horror crash as two others rushed to hospital

A YOUNG woman has died following a horror two-car crash during rush hour. The fatal smash happened on the B7038 Ayr Road in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire[1], this morning.

It involved a Vauxhall[2] Corsa and an Audi[3] Q2. Emergency services rushed to the busy route around 9.35am after the alarm was raised.

But a 24-year-old woman who was driving the Corsa could not be saved and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Formal identification is still to take place but her family has been informed.
