Met police appealing for information and looking to trace registered owner of vehicle

A woman and two dogs have been killed in a hit-and-run crash in Chigwell, Essex.

The 48-year-old woman was walking with two dogs on Manford Way when she was hit by a car, believed to be a white Seat Leon.

The Metropolitan police said the woman’s family had been informed and were being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the car failed to stop, and the Seat Leon was found nearby shortly afterwards.
